my mom's been selling for like 20 years! i don't know all the ins and outs but she works on commission. It's extra cash, I wouldn't say steady income. And she's worked up a very large customer base.

I did it at my last job. I took over someone's customers who was leaving. I had about 20 customers. It was a bit of work and the commissions on each item were different. my one client had very large orders but the items she bought had the lowest % wise commission, so i really didn't make that much.
