stray dog on our property this morning
figured i'd post here incase anyone knows of anyone who lost a dog...
we are in the west islip/bay shore area... a grey/white greyhound puppy showed up on my front porch this morning... he had a collar on, but no tag
when DH or i tried to walk to up him, he kept backing away really scared.... as soon as we went into the house, he came up to the door again
DH tried to go up to him again, but he ended up running away down the block scared... we didnt see him again before we left for work
i left food for him in our driveway... if he is there when we get home we are going to try and catch him to bring him to the islip animal shelter.... he is really skinny so i'm assuming he's been out and about for a while 
just figured i'd post here incase anyone knows of anyone who lost a dog

that is soooo sad.
it was really sad!!! whats even more sad is that he wasnt there when i got home from work NOR was he there this morning
we really wanted to save him!!!
