If your dog sleeps on your bed
How do you keep your bedspread/comforter in decent shape? Our dog sleeps at the foot of our bed (for the most part ) and our spread got all pilly (?) and worn out. We are getting a new one and I'd hate to have to keep taking it off and sleep with another blanket. I was thinking maybe put a sheet over the foot of the bed at night for her to sleep on. Any advice?

I keep a thin fleece blanket (coordinating color) over my comforter. much easier to wash.

I wrap my Chihuahua in a throw blanket where he stays put most of the night. Hes just a little guy so he causes no damage.

We have a comforter cover (duvet cover) on our bed, so our dog doesn't ruin the duvet.
In the winter, we put a blanket down on our bed that she curls on.

Our dog is little but when DH works overnights & I take him into bed I put his little dog bed on top of our bed. He sleeps in that. It's actually a cat bed.

we use a duvet, and it gets washed every week with our sheets.
He also gets bathed every week/every other week, and he doesn't shed.

We now use quilts instead of comforters because I couldnt stand how he ruined them but the smooth quilts hold up to the circling and scratching and all that good stuff.

We do the same thing, we have a brown light weight fleece blanket that matches our comforter.

Our comforter comes off comepletely every night and we have a microfleece blanket and sheets under it.

We don't use our comfortor to sleep - it's just for 'show' - It took DH a long time to get used to this concept, but it's how I grew up -
So yeah, I take it off the bed every night and we have a down blanket on there that I throw in the washing machine once a week
