Any nassau beaches that allow dogs?
DH are on vacation this week from work and now that the craziness of the beach season is over, we'd love to bring Jake to the beach to play around for a while. We live in Massapequa and are looking for anything around here - Jones, Lido, Long Beach, Tobay, etc. Do any allow dogs? Or even if they're are not officially allowed, are there any that don't mind?
ETA: Jake is very well trained and we would obvioulsy be with him every second and have his leash with us

On the northshore you can bring your dog to Coindre Hall. I believe it's Huntington though.

I think dogs are allowed on the beaches now because it is off season but you should call to confirm.
I heard huntington no longer allows dogs at the beach.
Gardiner's park in bayshore (i think) allows dogs all year round - we took ours a lot this past summer - they have trails that you walk down to the beach

bumped a thread for you. atlantic beach.
there is a beach between malibu and long beach that has a dog park, but have seen dogs on the beach there too.

Thanks so much! I read thru the other post. I think we'll try Atlantic Beach b/c it's closest to us. I'm glad you bumped that other post b/c I googled it and thought that we could bring him to Nickerson, but according to the other post, Nickerson only allows them in the dog run. We plan on going tomorrow and will try Atlantic. I'll let you guys know if it works out. Thanks again for all your tips!!

nickerson not allowed to bring dogs on the beach, but people do.
