I have to start monitoring my blood sugar w/a meter and I cannot...
Pull the trigger and do it! I am petrified of needles and the fact I have to do it to myself is 
I keep putting it to my finger and *almost* pressing the button

 I don't know if I'd be able to do it either. Maybe it'll be better since it's you doing it and you expect it? Can you ask DH for help?

I have to go for IV treatments and I know it is rough to get past the first few times of a needle being in you.
Take a few deep breaths and do it. Once you get past the first few, you will be ok.

it's really not so bad!
I do it about 4x a day -- EVERYDAY. The lancets are actually so fine that you barely feel it.
I keep my injector on 2 and it barely feels like anything when I do it.

Aww, I have to do it with my GD, 4 times a day. You will get used to it. It doesn't really hurt and you get used to it after the first few times. I still cringe and almost do it several times before actually doing it.

I know it's totally different, but I have to use injections for infertility. You really just get used to it! After a while, you don't even think twice about it!
Again.. totally different ... but I was a TOTAL needle phobe before I started with everything!
