Re: Migraines
Some of my natural migraine remedies are nasal irrigation, getting fresh air, sleep/resting, massage, small piece of chocolate, and going in the shower and alternating cool water with hot water on my head. My triggers are: eating too much sugar or carbs, getting too hungry, loud noises, bright lights, strong smells, too much sleep, too little sleep, and allergies. Feel better soon!

I feel like anything can trigger them for me! I'm trying to keep a log to find some sort of pattern. My migraine never went away completely from yesterday. I woke up with what I call "headache hangover." However, I went to work, and it came back! UGH. I'm sure this weather isn't helping either.
Right now I'm drinking hot chocolate, with something like 65% cocoa. That was recommended to me.
Also, I just heard about magnesium from a co-worker today, too. It's really great to hear what works for others who suffer, as well.
Thanks, everyone!

Re: Migraines
My nautural remedies are drinking a cup of coffee, laying in a completely dark room with no sound and LAVENDER OIL. I just dab it on my pillow or on the the collar o my shirt. It is supposed to nautally relax and calm you and I find it helps a lot.
My triggers are: department store lights (especially target for some reason... Weird I know!) bananas...there is something in those strings in in the peels that cause migraines, too much soda, UV lights, and certain chemicals in ink, I work in the graphic design industry and used to go to printing presses often and it never failed, after breathing ths fumes I would get one. I also just get them for absolutely no reason at all.

Re: Migraines
I never knew about bananas! And I have been drinking soda much more than usual lately... Interesting...
Thanks for all the responses, ladies!

Re: Migraines
Stress , AF, and eating onions trigger them for me. I use an ice bag , take excederin or a cup of coffee right away and an adjustment from the chiropractor.

Re: Migraines
Triggers: AF, stress, bright lights, going from dark to bright sunlight and lately the sun reflecting off the snow is killing me!
If I can catch it in time, if I lay down for a while I can beat it once in a blue moon. But I havn't found anything else other than meds to help me.
I HATE migraines!!!

Re: Migraines
Triggers: AF - I get the WORST menstrual migraines - they have been better since going off BCP, going from bright sunlight to indoor lighting, lack of sleep
What helps me? Exercise. It is usually the last thing I want to do when I get a migraine, but a quick jog seems to release endorphins which helps to keep the migraine at bay. If that is not an option, I need to lay down and take a nap.
