Does anyone follow a low fat diet?

What do you eat? I am assuming lots of veggies and fruits. What meats should you eat and not eat? Snacks? Even if you can give me your typical daily menu it would be helpful.

My dr put me on a restricted low fat diet due to an issue they found with my liver which I thought was my gallbladder Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone follow a low fat diet?

Someone told me about a really straightforward, free website: http://www.freedieting.com/

He's lost over 100 pounds so far, using the information from there and common sense. He's also working out like a madman but I don't intend to go that crazy. According to the calculator, at my weight, height and age I'm supposed to be eating less than 2000 calories a day to lose weight.

I've lost six pounds since Sunday doing the following (numbers are calories):

Breakfast:

100 Coffee
156 2 hard boiled eggs
105 1 banana
40 1/2 cup Fat-free cheddar cheese

Snack:

Green tea
230 Protein bar

Lunch:

153 Chicken breast
200 1 cup of rice
50 Broccoli, cauliflower, squash, zucchini

Snack:

Green tea
230 Protein bar

Dinner:

300 Bowl of cereal
105 1 banana

1669 total calories

I also did low-impact walking (heart rate between 120-140) for 30 minutes Monday and a higher impact dance workout for 30 minutes last night. Today I played with the dogs and shoveled a little for 30 minutes.

I'm not making drastic changes and fully intend to "cheat" within reason on the weekends because this needs to be a life change. Not a diet. So I'm changing my life, not for a limited period of time. It's the only way I can do things. Chat Icon

Hope this helps!
