I Love Kickboxing classes?

Has anyone taken these before?

I just got a Groupon for 4 free classes...and I know I already looove kickboxing so I'm willing to try it. But it's a particular class that is popping up around different gyms now so I'm curious about it. Seems hardcore.

Any comments? TIA!

I have gone to the one in Carle Place and loved it. I would have kept going but it was no longer convenient for me to get to. I can not speak for the other loc's but the Carle place (original loc) is great!

I was going there before my car accident. I *LOVE* it there. Sifu is great, and the other trainers are amazing. They adjust for skill level, but they definitely do not let you slack.

I highly recommend them.

Thanks! I'm actually in NJ and there's a groupon for about 4 classes...hoping it won't be too expensive beyond that, if I can get it into my schedule. I'm a huge kickboxing fan!

How many times a week did you go, and how much was it, if you don't mind me asking? Do you have sign up for a certain program (like 10 weeks, months, etc)? Thanks!

Is anyone planning to go to the one in Selden (or already attending)? I got my groupon for this last year and still haven't gone!!

I don't remember the cost and I'm not sure if they are all the same as they are all individually owned. I wanna say it was like $10 or $15/class, I think you could get unlimited packages too. It can get pricey if you want to use it as your only form of exercise. If you have a gym membership and then go kick boxing once a wk it wouldn't be bad. My friend goes like 3x per wk, I would never spend that much.

I GO!!!!! I go to the one in Bethpage and my sister goes to them in Carle Place. Class structure is the same! I LOVE the class! I joined in August... its seriously the best workout i ever got! I sweat like crazy and they work every muscle!

a 1 hours class goes like this:
15-20 minutes of jogging, jumping jacks, jump rope, sprint (any or all of those) and strenth training... any or all of squats, lungers, push-ups, crunches, sit ups, plank and so many more things that they come up with

35-40 minutes of kickboxing on a bag, sometimes you have to share a bag, but its amazing

5 minutes of stretching at the end.

They are always coming up with new exercises for every muscle in the beginning and always changing up the combinations we do.

I used to go to a martial arts school for KB and I hate cardio kickboxing... but this is more like the real deal!
