Re: hemorrhoids
Sorry!!!!! They are the worst! The best advice I can give is, soak in the hottest water you can tolerate. If I couldnt soak, I would use the detachable shower head, very very hot water, it helps shrink it.
Ice helps too. I didnt find those tucks pads to be all that soothing, but I used them. Also, I read online that a touch of vicks works, and I tried it. It felt so much better, it took the sting/pain away.
Mr dr. also rx'd a cortisone cream that I used 3x a day. It should shrink in a couple weeks. Do kegels too. it will help

Re: hemorrhoids
These are the absolute worst!!!! Having a flare-up as well. I use the prepH cooling ointment - it works over time. I also start taking colace, so when I "go" it is not as bad. Sitting in hot water works. I feel your pain - literally

Re: hemorrhoids
I was just about to start a thread about this!
Not to hijack this thread, but is it normal to have a tiny bit of blood on the toilet paper with them? This is my first experience.

Re: hemorrhoids
I'm probably the queen of this due to my gastro issues. I use several things to help.
First, eat right. Keep hydrated and try not to push too much. Yes blood is very common.
I use prep H wipes every time I have to wipe there. I don't use TP at all there.
Dr. prescribed Analpram. Works better than prep H cream.
Also, keep all meds and wipes in the fridge. Cooler the better.
