Cardiologist

Hi ladies!

Have any of your OB's recommended that you see a cardiologist? My doctor wants me to see one since I'm having trouble breathing while I work. I'm concerned...is it safe to have tests done while you're pregnant?

I had to go to a cardiologist because My resting heartrate was between 120-150 and I couldnt breathe well. I had a sono of my heart and an EKG which were prefectly safe. I also had to wear one of those monitors which I was told was safe as well.

I wouldnt worry too much. All my tests came back fine and the doc said it was just all the stress that the twins were putting on my body. As soon as I delivered I was fine. Heartrate went back to normal the next day and I was breathing fine.

That is good to know...thank you!!! Did you continue to work or did the doctor have you stop?

I was already out of work due to cervical issues. I went out early..like 14 weeks!

Oh my goodness! That must have been so tough on you :(

I'm almost 23 weeks now...It is getting harder and harder for me to work!

I have been seeing a cardiologist since I was a teenager because of some issues. So, I had to go during my pregnancy...no issues.
It is best for you to get checked because two babies put a lot of stress on your heart and body...plus all of the extra fluid.
Better safe than sorry! You will be fine, I promise
