Thinking feral cat isn't so feral?
He/she is now rubbing up against me the entire time, meowing me, head butts me, showed me its tummy and all that jazz. Is it just because I am feeding him/her for almost two weeks? Or its not feral?

Re: Thinking feral cat isn't so feral?
Borderline. I have 4 here right now. 2 of them will get very close to me then run if i reach for them. They want attention in the worst way(still young enough to turn) But still nervous. But are warming up nicely. The one going to the vet today(hurt foot) Is a MUSH . To a point. He lets me pet him when he wants to be pet and hold him for shorts amount a time. He is SOOOO adoptable. I think in another months time he will be a lap cat. He is very good with the other cats but still scared out of his mind of my dogs.
The other one on the other hand, 100% feral. SO FAR. She bolts the second she hears me. BUT the past 2 days a little more visual around the basement. so with her time will tell

Re: Thinking feral cat isn't so feral?
dh and i are thinking of trying to see if we can adopt he/she. Trying to see if it can be a house cat. So far it has no desire to go inside and my two other cats seem very intrigued with this one. The other cats they hiss at this one they just watch and meow at it.
Such a cutie! He/she stands up on the hind legs for a long time to get petted like begs. Also can walk on its front paws - like a show cat! Tonight I am going to try to take a video of him/her. I said if its a he his name is Ulysses and if its a girl Esmeralda.

Sounds like mine! We think she used to live in one of the houses on the block and the family moved away and abandoned her.
ETA: She loves to be pet, rubs up against me, accepts food, but will not let me pick her up. I guess that's where she draws the line.

SO cute! That's just how the feral cat by my house is. What a lovable little guy!
ETA: If you can adopt him, you should. He deserves a good home!

Re: Thinking feral cat isn't so feral?
I carried him/her inside and put him in our spare room and WOW that wasn't smart. HOWLING - terrified screaming. I left the door open and it was going for the windows then finally found the door and bolted out. Eh not smart I know - if he/she comes back i guess just keep it outside and just keep feeding/petting and maybe eventually it will wont' to come in?
