Question about Couch to 10K
I can already run 3 miles on the treadmill (albeit very, very slowly ), but I want to increase my time on the treadmill.
I'm not so much concerned about my speed bc my heartrate tends to spike really high when I try to run faster than a 11 minute mile.
Can I do couch to 10k, but start later on in the program, and if so, what week would you suggest starting on?
Or what would be another way to increase my stamina?
Ultimately I would like to work on speed, but I want to start with distance first.

I found that, what REALLY helped improve my stamina AND speed, was to high interval training. At least one run a week, I run at a higher than normal speed, maybe 8 minute miles, or even higher than that, for 2 minutes, and then a lower speed, around 11 minute miles, for 3 minutes, and just continue like that for a good 30-40 minutes. It made a dramatic improvement in my endurance and speed for my longer runs in just a matter of weeks
