SI Joint Dysfunction
Apparently, this is what is causing my pain, not my herniated disc lol.
It is common from pregnancy and once I explained my pain to the pain management dr she knew right away what it was. I got some cortisone shots in the area that she said may take a few days to kick in. I go back in 2 weeks and if I am still in pain we will schedule the epidural shot. I am just very happy to know that spinal surgery is not in my near future.
Anyone have any experience with?????

Re: SI Joint Dysfunction
I battle this as well. Honestly my pain never is totally gone. Working out helps believe it or not and I got to the chiropractor fairly often.

Re: SI Joint Dysfunction
I've been battling this for a few years now. I have right si joint dysfunction and a herniated disc. My pain mgmt is cortisone, epidurals and radiofrequency ablation. Motrin and percocet as needed. The radiofrequency ablation gives me the most relief, it can be done every six months. Mine gets aggravated with too much walking, bending, leaning etc. A heating pad also helps me. I'm 10 weeks pg and this is the best my back has felt in years, I think it's bc I'm not doing anything to aggravate it Ive been off motrin and percocet since thinking I could be pg and will get no more procedures until after the pregnancy if needed. My dr says the SI joint is very hard to ever get back to 100% My dr also said it was probably from being pg. Good luck! Feel better!
