5k maybe 10k run
how do i find where i can do one? is there a site? im interested in doing one in long island or central perk.

YAY!!! Lets do one together .. I think you would maybe start with a 5K but if you wanted to do a 10k with me Im registered for the 10K July 9th in Central Park.
Im an NYRR member so I get emails and stuff regarding races but you can just google 5K in the area youre looking to run and a ton of info will come up.
Hang on, I'll find us a good 5K we can do. BRB

There are so many ut there.
Try lirunning.com or glirc.org for upcoming races! Also, Long Island Road Runners do a 5k in Eisenhower every Wed. night over the summer.

I recommend the Wednesday night runs at Eisenhower Park. It's not that crowded that you feel overwhelmed and everyone is really friendly.

for NYC
for LI (although there are many other sites with more races)
After awhile you will notice signs on the road, read about races here/online, and get mailings from races.
