Spinning Newbie
I'm trying spinning for the first time tomorrow with a friend at NYSC...I'm kinda scared to be honest...can anyone give me a tip or some words about it I should expect tomorrow?? Will I be able to walk normally after? Will I even make it through the class? Haha thanks

Re: Spinning Newbie
As an instructor I will first say GO AT YOUR OWN PACE...even if that means sitting down the entire ride while the class is standing up. You can still get an awesome workout in the saddle. The good thing is you control your resistance and your pedal cadence and can adjust it at ANYTIME! If something doesn't feel right, don't do it.
I suggest wearing fitted capris or shorts to the class so that your pants don't get caught in the fly wheel. Bring 2 bottles of water and a towel. (although at NYSC they provide towels.)
Make sure you tell the instructor that you are new to the class so that he/she can help you set the bike up properly for yourself and can explain the different hand positions and standing positions.
Most of all, have fun!
ETA: if you like it and plan on going back for more invest n a gel seat!

Padded shorts!!
Your butt will be sore but I'll bet you love the class if you get a good instructor with good music.

Awesome! Thank you for such quick responses....I'm definitely wearing fitted capris and bringing 2 waters...I'm gonna get there early to head to the back of the room haha...gym anxiety...one last question: approximately how many calories do you burn during a class (guessing that I'll go moderate) ?

Totally varies based on body weight, height, metabolic rate and how hard you are working. You will sweat, that's all I can say!
