No pull harness

Has anyone used this? Shamrock is horrible to walk. He is constantly pulling- so much that his front paws are off the ground and he is running on his hind legs. No matter what I have tried he still pulls.

This harness attaches the leash in the front by his chest and it is supposed to stop the pulling.

Did it take long for them to stop pulling?

Not sure about the harness, but Joey was a horrible walker when he was a puppy and he grew out of it. There's hope!

Re: No pull harness

you have to teach him how to walk. The harness is just a band aid.

No. They still pull just can't pull so much with that on, and they hate using other harnesses now. So we only use that.

Re: No pull harness

we use the easy walk harness and have no issues. Maggie was a big puller, now I'm able to walk her with the stroller.

Re: No pull harness

I initially used the easy walk harness but my dog learned how to loosen it- now we are using the gentle leader it is by the same manufacturer. They both work but I like the gentle leader better but it requires a bit of training.

I agree. We used the harness for longer than we should have and it started to cause bald spots on her body. It's not meant to be a permanent fix but it's easy, so people so use it for that purpose. We did.

Once the bald spots showed up, we started training again and it was possible, it just required learning on our part, and diligence. Every dog is different, so we had to change our approach to suit her personality.

Everything is good now. Chat Icon Good luck!
