pre surgical testing
I am having laproscopic surgery in a few weeks to have my gallbladder taken out.
I just realized when they gave me my pre-surgical testing date i have nobody to watch the kids or drive DS to school. How long does it usually take?

Re: pre surgical testing
where are you going for the testing? i've had it done twice at LIJ... first time took alot longer because they took history (which went on forever) and bloodwork, and an EKG etc. the second time, which was only 4 months later, i was in an out quickly because they used my test results from the previous visit, and i didn't have to go through the history again. i'm going in to a new hospital in 2 weeks, they've got me scheduled for like 6 hours of stuff on the day of the pre-surg testing. it can really vary.

Re: pre surgical testing
I have no idea about the pre testing, but I do know the laproscopic surgery on the gallbladder is not that bad, My husband had it done around 4 yrs ago, he only stayed in the hospital for 1 entire day..as for myself I had it done 5 yrs ago, the old fashion way and I was in sooo much pain, and stayed in the hospital for 6 days....
Good luck with your surgery........
