Embaressing Female Question
I have large breasts. I have a rash under both of them. I think it might be chafing because the rash is where the bottom of my breast rubs against my upper stomach.
The rash is itchy and it hurts. It was so bad last night I tried some of my daughters desitin. It feels worse today.
Any idea how to get rid of this? Do I need to see a dr? TIA

Re: Embaressing Female Question
Sounds like it could be a yeast infection.

Re: Embaressing Female Question
I had that and it was a yeast infection. I happened to have stuff for it, but get to a dermatologist. Also, after the shower I make sure it is completely dry and put on ammen's powder or Gold's medicated powder. I never had it again. You might find some relief with a few folded paper towels under your breast and then put on your bra to hold it in place, in addition to the medication from the dr. Feel better!

Re: Embaressing Female Question
You can try Lotrimin, sounds like it could be fungal. My ped just had me use this otc med for a fungal infection in my DDs rectal area. Keep the area dry. Put a thin layer of powder, then apply the Lotrimin (that is if you are not pregnant).

Re: Embaressing Female Question
Mix together Lotrimin, Polysporin and hydrocortizone cream. Equal parts. Three times a day. I used this on ds when he had thrush (fungal infection) It cleared up the rash in to time and made him more comfortable while it was healing.

Re: Embaressing Female Question
It does sound like a yeast infection. Lotrimin will probably help a lot.
There is a cream that vagasil actually makes I believe, and anti-chafing cream. I used to use it under my breasts when we went to florida in the summer to keep them from getting too irritated. You can use it anywhere on your body. It might help, once you clear it up, to use something like that!

Re: Embaressing Female Question
Go to a doctor and get some meds for it, it'll help soothe the redness/itching.
