Congrats!!
Perhaps you can take out a 401K loan instead of your mom? It is a lot less risk for your mom and this would help you to build your credit. I think you should look into getting a low limit card that you pay off each month...just to build your credit. It won't help with the IVF now but will help you in the future.

Your brother said No to you? Even though you can pay him $500+ a month back and it is not the full cost of the IVF? Can your mom talk to him and tell him that she is going to use her 401K and maybe a loan from him would be really helpful? I am so sorry that he won't do this for you. I just don't get it at all.

I can understand his fear of a "come to him for loans" feast but this is not like that. But if that is his decision then I wouldn't ask again either.
Have you considered seeing a debt councilor to help repair your credit?I would consider one thing...can you pay for daycare and repay your mom's loan? I am NOT saying to answer it online. I am just saying to consider the new "baby" costs and repaying her loan.

Donna, COngrats..I am just a lurking visitor Chat Icon ..but have been foloowing your story, and am SUPER excited for you!!

Extra $$ is always a problem for me too. However, my DH bartends on weekends, he can work 1 or 2 shifts and pull in 400-1000 in the weekend easy!! May-be your DH could do something like that. Does not have to be long term, short and sweet, and roll in the cash for a little!

NOW Im scared. The financial coordinator is out on vacation for a week....So we have NO idea how much money we are gonna need .

So SInce Its the flare protocol, I would need ot start BCP's this monday but may have to cancel this cycle if we cant afford it once she gets back
