Re: What does a yeast infection feel like?
Burning, itching and white discharge are the usual signs. They say if you have never had one before, you should go to the Gyno to have it checked out before just treating it yourself.
Personally, I'd go buy something over the counter. Use it a few days and if it doesn't clear up on it's own, THEN I'd go to the Dr.
In the meantime... Eat a lot of yogurt, or take acidophilus supplements (whichever you prefer) and don't wear any tight pants, no thong underwear. No underwear at all when you are home. Boxers or loose fitting pj pants. Just a t-hshirtt is best.
GL! I hope you feel better soon
P.S. you CAN pass it on to your partner so stay away from dtd until it's all cleared up (not like you'd even want to with a yeast inf)

Re: What does a yeast infection feel like?
Have you changed detergents? Or doing anything different lately with DTD (lube, spermicide, etc)?
If not, it could be the start of an infection so jumping on the yogurt and wearing no underwear around the house for a few days can nip it in the bud

Re: What does a yeast infection feel like?
I've seen at home test kits at the drug store, if you want to give that a try.
ETA: Maybe I'm wrong and I am thinking home UTI test kit....

Re: What does a yeast infection feel like?
No they have the home test but I think it's BS. It's more to see if you have a bacterial infection as opposed to a yeast infection. But I tried it once and it was useless. lol

Re: What does a yeast infection feel like?
It seems to have passed. Maybe it was just one of those things.
I take regular pro-biotics so maybe that helped.

if you think it passed, i would still drink some cranberry juice and yogurt, just to make sure it is gone, they suck.

My experience with a yeast infection is that you KNOW when you have one....basically you want to claw your crotch off
