Mole Removal?
Has anyone had one removed..do it hurt? I have to get one removed the dermatologist seemed concerned and it is on my face

If its on your face I would go to plastic surgeon NOT a dermatologist... I have had many moles removed by both a plastic surgeon and dermatologist....

i have had many removed, the only thing i felt was a tiny pinch of the numbing medicine.
I had something (not a mole) removed from my face by a dermatologist. she is amazing (in the city). no scar. actually i have no scars from anything she's ever removed, and some of the incisions were pretty deep.

I have never had a mole removed, but I had MOHS surgery for skin cancer on my face, so I would assume they would give you some lidocaine to numb it, so you shouldn't feel anything? My dermatologist specifically had a plastic surgeon with him, since he didn't want to fool around with scarring on my face.. Is your derm. a plastic surgeon too? Where are you located? I know a great plastic surgeon!

I have had a couple removed they are no big deal - they numb them and you don't feel anything. Since it is on your face I would have it done though by a very good plastic surgeon. I would not have a derm do it because you don't want a scar.
Etd to add I haven't have things removed from my face by my father and grandmother have. Which is why I say get a plastic surgeon - both said the procedure was nothing. I wish I had done that for one on my arm. I have a tiny scar but would have probably had less had I used a PS instead of a derm.

Thank you so much for all the resonces! I believe she is a dermatologist/plastic surgeon. My original doctor referred me to her, in Bellmore. I am nervous!

I had one removed uner my arm and I felt nothing. they numbed the area. i think it stung a little afterward, nothing major
if it's the face YES please Do go to a plastic surgeon. My DH has a HOLE in his face. :(
