Anybody going thru tinnitus issues?

yup it comes and goes. Mine was not a ringing in the ears but more like a whooshing noise. I saw a specialist at Stony Brook, went for all types of testing. Found that the thing that helps control it is if i really watch my sodium intake

the doctor I saw was Dr. Schessel at Stony Brook ENT. he was awesome and is a specialist in tinnitus

Omg, I was just to write a post about this too! About 3 weeks ago I went to the doctor because I have a pulsating tinnitus in my ear with pressure, feels like I need to pop my ears. She said I had an ear infection, took a zpac and it didn't go away, went back and still had infection so she gave me a stronger antibotic, just finished them a few days ago and the pressure is mostly gone and I can pop my ear, but the pulsating tinnitus is still there! It's driving me crazy! I don't notice it when I'm out and about but when I'm home and it's quiet I do! I am going to ask for a referral to a ENT and see if there is anything else wrong!

I saw Dr. Schessel also. Very knowledgeable Did not give me much hope that there was anything that could be done to remedy. I have tried everything in the last 2 years, including accupuncture--which seems to be helping. I have seen two other ENT's all nice and knowledgable, but no solution. Annoying, but not life threatening.

Tinnitus here too.. ugh. I was basically told that many people suffer with it. I've had tinnitus and then loss of hearing for several hours now twice. MRI's all clear and nothing seems off. Stinks to have this but at least it's nothing contagious or that is life threatening!
