Both of my dogs tested positive for Lyme
But NEITHER one of them has any symptoms. Is it something I have to treat? I am finding mixed messages online and I just wanted to see if anyone had any experiences with Lyme in asymptomatic dogs.

Re: Both of my dogs tested positive for Lyme
Were they vaccinated for Lyme? If they were, I believe that can show a positive test.

No they weren't. They both had a rabies vaccine and a 5 in 1 dhpp vacine. But that doesn't include lyme. While I was at it I had them both tested. I always try to check them for ticks and give them medicine but I guess it wasn't enough :-.

\ Yes the blood test checks for Lymes. My vet does it too. That stinks. What now? What does your vet want to do in this case?

I don't know. I have an appointment on Monday. I have being doing research and I keep seeing that I probably wont have to do anything until they start showing symptoms. Apparently 90% of dogs that have lyme disease don't show symptoms. I just feel sad that they have it.

I don't know anything about Lyme disease in dogs, but I wanted to say that I'm sorry that they have it

Re: Both of my dogs tested positive for Lyme
I think if a human tests positive they are put on a strong antibiotic for a while - something like that. I wonder if they do the same for dogs?
they will be ok
