Anyone had success with a small amount of exercise each day?
One of my goals this year is to start exercising, but my treadmill was ruined in the storm. Anyway, i find it hard to get through a video with two kids at home..Has anyone had any success with doing a 10 or 20 minute regimen. I can easily do situps and jumping jacks each day..i was thinking of maybe just starting with that. Any other ideas?

Re: Anyone had success with a small amount of exercise each day?
I did. I lost 15 lbs in under 3 months (and 2-1/2 sizes) by doing Jillian Michael's Body Revolution DVD's. Each Dvd was 25-35 minutes and worked out upper body & lower body at the same time. I lost the weight, but more importantly I gained the muscle & tone in that little amount of time.
I did it at my own pace - meaning I did an extra week of some video's to get the moves right but I ended up giving it up midway through the program at the start of summer.
I'm starting it again Monday. I will get up at 6:00 am and will be showered & dressed before 7 am.
The workout program is 6 days a week and I followed a 1200 calorie diet on Myfitnesspal.

Try thedailyhiit.com (formerly bodyrock.tv). I love them. Free workouts uploaded almost daily (they aren't new right now because they start a fresh 30 day challenge on Jan 10th) but tons of old ones to try. You can also follow them on FB and one of the hosts has a great album with quick workouts CLICKY
The workouts are mostly 12-24 minutes in length and if you spend enough time browsing the website and their video descriptions they give you alternatives and modifications, too.
I love them!

I did / have....and I was pregnant! I did workouts on demand almost every day while I was pregnant and I was never more ripped! I have started it up again...I use Netflix and AppleTv and Comcast OnDemand....I do 15-20 minute workouts...cardio yoga, strength training, core fusion, etc....it really helps! I usually do it at night when I can find 20 minutes without the kids around.

Have you checked out pinterest? There are quite a few little workout routines posted on there that you can do in your house! Doesn't have to be long for it to be effective...just has to be focused!

I lost over 40 lbs in a year with really no excercise on WW. Maybe some crunches here and there if I remembered and 9 days of a Jillian Michaels DVD.

I just started doing this and I like it a lot..i'm only doing a 10 minute cardio program for now..but i figure its better than nothing. Plus i'm doing sit-ups on my own. I'm curious to see if i get results if i stick with it long term. Thanks for idea!
