Re: Lose 10 lbs. by May 1st

I weighed in last Saturday - down .6 for an even 20 lbs lost!

But I have been struggling since the weekend. Was back on track yesterday and doing ok today, but it's rough with leftovers in the house (even though I gave a ton of stuff away). I did go stock up on some fresh fruits and veggies today, so hopefully that will help.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Re: Lose 10 lbs. by May 1st

I am still chugging along. I gained .4 lb the week after Easter, and then was down 1 lb this week, so I am not down 20.6 lbs total. I have 8.8 lbs (exactly!) to be back at my ultimate goal weight.

How is everyone else doing?

I fear the nicer warmer weather will make me want to sit outside with a bottle of wine and a lot of yummy snacks. Hoping I can stick with my more restrained eating as all of the communions and graduations and stuff start cropping up!

I am at a standstill. No loss no gain. I am hoping to get out more and walk.

As of May 1st, I have lost 16lbs. I went from a size 10 to a size 6.( Some size 6 are still a bit tight, but I can button them).I started my weight loss in January. I'm finally starting to feel a change in my body and clothes. I still have 15lbs to lose to get to my goal.

What worked for me is cutting out almost all processed food. I also cut out almost all dairy as well. I'm trying to change to a vegan diet but im not fully there yet, and not sure if i ever will be. I still eat Chicken, fish and eggs a few times a week. Almost all organic food. We started making our own granola bars and bread.
Most mornings I have a green smoothie which includes kale or spinach, almond milk, banana, strawberrys (frozen) and either chia seeds or flax seeds. Sometimes I change up the fruit. Other mornings I may have avocado toast, an egg on a piece of toast, or a rice cake with natural PB and half a banana.
I also found some cereals at whole foods that have a no GMO label and I will eat that. I always make sure that I only eat the serving size.
Lunch I may have an Avocado sandwich, or a grilled chicken sandwich. If I'm in a rush a piece of Ezekiel bread with natural PB with a piece of fruit.
Dinner:
Vegan chili
Grilled chicken or shrimp with a vegtable
Salad with Chicken
A dish that has Sweet Potato, brown rice and black beans.
My son favorite is Kamut pasta with homemade sauce and Chick peas.

Between meal Snack:
Handful of Nuts
Granola bar
Sweet potato Muffin
Cut up carrots and celery with Hummus
Piece of fruit

I stop eating after 7pm and will have green tea at night.

I try to Exercise at least 5 times a week. It's so hard to get to the gym these days so I do what I can. The one thing I do outside the house is a Spin class which I try to get to twice a week. At home I have Jillian Michales and Bob Harper videos that I will do 1-2 times a week. I also just started doing a Ballet Barre video that I love. I have two kids and only one who naps. So when my youngest goes to sleep I will put on the video. My older works out with me. Well he kicks his legs and jumps around. He thinks its funny. Now that its nice out I walk alot with the kids. I have a nice double jogger. I pack up some snacks for them and take a 2 mile walk at least 2-3 times a week. I only work part time right now, so that makes it alot easier.

I still do cheat and have some kind of treat twice a week. If you look online there are alot of things you can make for treats that have really good ingrediets and are still really yummy. If I go to a party I eat whatever I want but don't go overboard.
Hope this helps:))

Awesome job to everyone who reached their goal or just made progress. Every little bit helps.

I was on vacation on May 1, so didn't weigh in. But my last weigh in was April 27, and I was down 25 lbs from Jan. 1 (when I started).

I am back at my WW goal, and I have about 4 more lbs to goal to reach my personal goal (although I am sure I will have to drop a few vacation lbs this week...).

I definitely found this thread motivating, so thanks to all!

I fell far off the wagon but am back on, just started tracking food again today--but since January I am down about 18 lbs!

I have a long way to go but hopefully will get things back to normal food-wise.

As far as the gym, I'm currently having some problems with my neck and muscle spasms... causing numbness down my arm into my hand :( I'm in the middle of a bunch of tests so hopefully we will figure out what it is. I'm afraid to hurt myself more at the gym, running is too jarring but I may try elliptical again. I'm also staying with my yoga and just being careful and telling my teacher what my pains are so she will adapt for me.

Good luck to all!!!
