March/April/May Mommies..1st birthdays?
Do you ladies want to share ideas? Maybe we can help each other out. Is everyone else planning already?
Anyone else who wants to throw out ideas or ask questions- feel free!
I've planned my menu, booked entertainment, spoken to etsy vendors re: decorations, invites & DD's outfit. Goody bags are almost done. I'm in crazy party planning mode! LOL

i bought my invites and decorations, planned the menu, and thats all so far. going with a mickey mouse/sports theme and tryinng to think of fun things to do

wow you have got alot done already!!
i am in the process of still finding a restaurant for my boys. they are 1 in april.
all i know is we are doing a mickey mouse theme.
i have a LIFer helping me with some of the decorations.
still deciding if i am doing a candy table.
i am really so clueless on what i am doing for like favors for kids. or if i should give favors to adults?
ughhhhhhhhhhh so much!!!

HAHA, I picked my Theme of Snoopy this summer bc there was so much stuff in the $1 spot at Target, so I've slowly been working with that for Goody Bags.
It's in my basement and my mom & I are cooking, which we love, so we love to plan menus. 
I spoke to the Etsy vendors bc I'm trying to be cost efficient and wanted to see what prices were.
I got a magician/balloon artist on a friend's recommendation.
I'm a planner..obviously!

I posted yesterday about what I should do but nobody responded!  DH's 40th b-day is 3 weeks before the boys' 1st b-day so I need to combine the 2 parties into 1. How do I do this? I need a theme! Help!
We are having a party at our house.
Small scale. Low budget!

We don't have the money to do a big party so we are just doing a pizza party at a restaurant with immediate family.
I think we are going to do a Minnie Mouse theme.
We haven't booked anything yet. I'm hoping to make it to the restaurant this weekend and book it. I hope they have the date open that we want.

I'm only doing favors for Kids. Goodie bags. I found TONS of great stuff at Target $ spot! Even adorable snoopy reusable bags- & snoopy: coloring books, notebooks, pencils & sunglasses. Then I'll just add candy and DONE!
I'm doing a Dessert table- cake (ordered already), oreo truffles, chocolate covered pretzels, cupcakes & cookies. I've done my own candy tables before though and that's pretty easy too!

I looked at places this past weekend, have it narrowed down to 2 just have to pick the one now. We are doing a race car theme and a lovely LIFer is helping me with ideas. I am such a bad party planner and we are on a tight budget since we bought a house in august, but I don't want to cut corners for his bday!

Aww, I didn't see your thread. Mine is low budget too! I would stick with a color scheme or maybe sports related since that's not too babyish and you can incorporate your Dh's bday too, maybe? Is he into any specific team?

I was going to suggest sports too, just like baseballs footballs basket balls soccer balls.

Xaviers bday is Jan 27th but for a few reasons his party is going to be March 13th.
So far I...
-Booked the place
-Haven't booked but know what caterer i'm using
-Bought tons of decor
-Have everything I need to made kids and adults favors
-Have most of my ideas for the dessert table

I was all gung ho about starting to plan his party (he'll be 1 first week of March), and then lost all my motivation.
I just called today about booking entertainment. It's more than I wanted to spend so I have to see if we can cut corners somewhere else.
We're have a very small budget. We have to get a place (a community/rec center) because no one has a home big enough for 30-40 people.
We will either cook ourselves or get it catered; haven't decided yet.
Starting to think of decorations and stuff.
So basically I've done nothing  We did put in a request to book the space, just waiting to hear back. Once I get confirmation, I'll start working on invitations, and get things together.
So much goes into it!

we just started talking about it. i wanted to do an outside park/BBQ type party but in the beginning of May - you never know weather wise...
so, we will probably do a small(er) restaurant party or see about renting the Wantagh Firehouse and then we can invite more ummm, my BABY will be ONE in 3.5 months?! WHAT?

All I know is it will probably be a Mickey Mouse themed party and at my house. I need to look into renting a tent and keep my fingers crossed for decent weather (end of April).

im not really a big party planner
i also know the theme will be circus related since that is the theme of the room in the restaurant ( carasello in howard beach)
i'll think about it in another month

Need to finalize menu, pick linens and figure out final arrangements.
Paper Goods
Invitation - designed and just waiting on one more picture before ordering
Direction Cards - waiting on restaurant for details so I can create the card to match the invite.
Return Address Labels - done
Envelopes - need to finalize guest list and then print
Table Numbers - plan to make pennants
Placecards - need to design something that will allow for last minute assembly and changes
Dessert Table
Need to finalize tags
Need to finalize candy labels/cards
Need to Order candy - broken down to two more orders so DH doesn't kill me
Have containers but need a few more platters
Have to order scoops
Need table linen
Need to make sign
Need labels for boxes
Need to bake/make cupcakes, cake pops (have my lesson this weekend - thanks Christine!), rainbow cookies, chocolate covered pretzel rods & cookies.
Ordered edible cupcake toppers
Entertainment
Nick the Balloonatic - done 
Game Table - done (but need to make sign)
Photography - Elizabeth Kristen Photography - done
Cake - Cupcakes Catering - done
Only getting a small little one for the top of the cupcake stand but it's going to coordinate with the invite!
Almost finsihed with outfits for both boys...then I need to work on what I am going to wear 
Also need to get in gear on the OTM montage and the scrapbook...both need to be done for the party

Party will be May 1.
So far, I have done:
Theme - done.
Outfit - done but not ordered
Location - Our house (done)
Entertainment - undecided right now - next week's project
Invite - done - just waiting for a more recent pic of her to add to it
Other Paper goods - done
Favors - I know what I am doing but need to make them
CP's - still working on some ideas.

I haven't even started yet. I think I want to do a Mickey Mouse theme becasue DS LOVES the "Hot Dog" song from Mickey Mouse clubhouse. He is like mesmerized by Mickey.

We have an idea of the date, have her photoshoot booked, have a theme and my friend Tara (mrss518) is helping me with decor (enchanted forest/fairies). Other than that, I am dragging my feet and I know I shouldn't.
