Cooking shrimp

Sorry, posting from phone.

I have never cooked shrimp before.
I just want to grill them or some how cook them in a very simple way. No sauces.
How do I do this?
How long do I grill them for?
Thanks.

Re: Cooking shrimp

What are you using the shrimp for? If you just want plain cooked shrimp to use for something like shrimp cocktail or to add to salads, you could also boil or roast in the oven.

But for most of my shrimp recipes, I sauté in a pan with a little butter or oil (and whatever seasonings you want -- garlic, red pepper flakes, etc.). In the summer, you can grill them outside on skewers.

I LOVE shrimp - make them all the time. Just be careful that you don't overcook them (they cook fast) or they can get hard/tough.
