If you travel for work ...
I know the company will cover transportation (i.e. flight) and hotel but are you given a fixed amount for meals and incidentals? Do you have a corporate credit card for these purchases?

Re: If you travel for work ...
It really depends on your company. I had a corporate credit card for those types of things. If I used cash for anything I had to save the receipts and was not given a per diem limit for food etc.

Re: If you travel for work ...
I have a platimun Amex which allows for sky clubs, perks etc., no per diem but another company I worked at gave us $70/ day for food which was fine.
I used the Amex as much as I could, Starbucks card to get points & free drinks for myself, booked flights on my personal Delta Amex for double miles. I was at the point of getting upgraded every time I flew Delta.
I started to have a system that worked for me. I was travelling about 20+ weeks a year.

Re: If you travel for work ...
Work pays for all travel-related costs. I am on a set daily per diem, depending on location traveling to, for meals and incidentals. I have a work credit card.

When I need to travel out of state, work books my flights and arranges the car rental as well.
I just save and submit my receipts for anything else.

Corp card for this. We do not have a set limit on what we can charge for things but we do have things that are not covered.

We have a corporate credit card we are to use when travelling for all travel related expenses - such as meals and covered incidentals (drinks, snacks). It's so much easier using the card than cash since you only need a receipt for expenses over $25.
For meals, we aren't given a per diem but, we must be reasonable in our expenses (like we aren't going to the finest restaurant in every city).

Re: If you travel for work ...
I have a corp card but use my own when I can since I use the rewards points for personal travel (and can't do that with my corp card). My company covers meals etc within reason.

Re: If you travel for work ...
Allthough there is a company cc, I use my own cc to get miles/bonus points for flight, hotel, and car rental. Cabfare is covered, and we get a daily allowance for meals and incidentals. Alcohol is not covered unless it is part of entertainment.
