Well..I am working from home FT now

It's good and bad...I know I am lucky I have that option. But I wanted to make it further in the office. I was doing 2 days from home, but I was in L&D over the weekend for "uterine irritation", contraction and dehydration so my OB is doing this as a precaution. He said he would put me out on disability if they did not accomodate me and luckily my boss did. I am 31 weeks now, c-section scheduled for 38 weeks. I just feel like - I am not disabled but I guess it's better to be safe. It's getting harder to drive, walk up the stairs, walk through a huge office building. It's just so quiet at home!!

Anyone else get put out early or WFH early?

eta: the babies are also SUPER LOW which is what made me call the OB over the weekend in the first place..I was taking a shower and felt a head like right above my V...yesterday at my appt the doc did a cervical check and he was like whoa they are really low...so...here's hoping we make it to 38 weeks! Or at least 35 / 36....

I work in the city. At around 20 weeks I asked my doctor when he thinks I should stop working. I said probably 30-32 weeks right. He said NO you are travelling 2 hours each way you need to stop at 28 weeks. I was very happy about that. Even at 20 weeks I was very tired and just didnt know how much longer I could do the long commute. Luckily my work has a great short term disability plan and I received 100% pay until I went back when the twins were 4 months (they were born at 36 weeks). Enjoy your time at home. I know it is different since you are still working but being home is a good thing. I was eventually put on modified bedrest at 32 weeks so I wouldn't be able to work anyway.

Yes, I suddenly stopped at 33w because of contractions I never even felt. It was a blessing, because if I hadn't gone off my feet, the girls would have come waaaayyyy too early. I was on full bed rest till 35w3d

Thanks Ladies It just feels odd to me because I am so used to running around every day...but I do see the benefit of being home, I'm sitting here at my dining room table, the bathroom is not half a mile away ...and I am saving on gas and lunch $$ haha. I definitely want to keep these little guys inside for another 5 weeks at least....

I was taken out of work and put on bedrest with a short cervix at 26w. I was pissed at the time because I had a lot to clear up at work, but looking back it was the right thing to do obviously. My twins were born at 34w6d bc I developed cholestasis. Trust me - rest your body now bc you are gonna need it!
