Would like advice- 2 part question
Part 1- Going to a party tomorrow where the main meal will be baked ziti/salad. I'd like to make a dip or app to bring but it needs to be vegetarian (the host doesn't eat meat). Ideas?
Part 2- I made these delicious Ghiardelli dark chocolate brownies. I planned to use them to make a trifle with a vanilla cream, chocolate cream and heath bar pieces BUT DH thinks it will ruin them because they are so good. Should I bring them as is or go for the trifle? (I've never made it before) WWYD?

Would like advice- 2 part question
1-I make a bean dip with cream cheese on the bottom, refried beans mixed with taco seasoning in the middle, and shredded cheese on top. I put it in the oven until the cheese melts. Or spinach and artichoke dip.
2-Brownies are my favorite dessert, so I would say stick with those because I'm biased, but especially since you're also planning on bringing a dip as well.

Re: Would like advice- 2 part question
1. I would do a spinach dip in a bread bowl with veggies and bread cubes and crackers as dip. Or a nice cheese platter or meatless antipasto platter (with cheese, olives, roasted red peppers, mushrooms).
2. I would go for the trifle! It's a holiday and that is a special occasion dessert with more of a wow! factor than just the brownies.

Re: Would like advice- 2 part question
Thanks for the feedback ladies! I think I may go for the trifle because I'm thinking- how bad could it be! All the ingredients are yummy so thinking it would work. I also have all the ingredients for a cream cheese/bean dip so maybe I'll go with that. Thanks!

Re: Would like advice- 2 part question
1- lentil dip with pita chips. Equal parts lentils, bruschetta and feta. They are all in Trader Joes. Yummy!
2- brownies

Thanks everyone! I ended up chickening out with the trifle lol but I will def make it at home soon. I also ended up making a mexican bean salad from allrecipes. Very yummy. I like the lentil dip idea. Yum!
