Bowling Party-Help with menu, pls!

I just booked a party for DH's 40th bday at 300-the bowling place on Rte 110. Expecting 35-40 ppl. The party is in the evening around dinner time.
Can you help me pick between Italian menu or Pizza for the party. Our crowd is very casual. We usually do pizza +soda with bowling but I am wondering if I should make it more substantial. Here are the two options:

Italian:
Antipasti salad
Chicken Piccata
Eggplant Parmesan
Roasted vegetables
Linguini with Italian Herbs
Baked Penne with mozarella
Ceasar Salad
Foccacia Bread

Pizza:
Spinach Artichoke Dip
Spicy wings
Cheese, Veggie and BBQ chicken pizza
Ceasar Salad
Garlic Rolls

We will also have an ice cream cake for dessert
Price wise, they are more or less the same.
Thanks in advance

Since it's his 40th and it's around dinnertime, I'd go with the Italian menu...it's just nicer! Plus you said that you usually do pizza at the bowling alley...change it up a bit :)

And maybe it's just me Chat Icon but being able to eat food with a fork rather than my hands is a good thing when bowling...I'm no germaphobe but those are some dirty balls. Chat Icon

I don't want to pee on your parade.. but I didn't love the catered food at 300. I'd go with the pizza menu.. bar food is just safer all around. Plus you will likely be doing a lot of drinking and bowling.. so it's easier to nosh pizza and dip as opposed to sitting and having a full on meal.

The Italian meal looks more interesting, but I think the pizza meal is more practical for bowling party. You can grab a slice and get back to the game quickly.

Thanks for all the votes and opinions! My instinct was to go with Pizza too but was just wondering if a more substantial meal would be better. Good point about not wanting to take a break from the bowling for a big meal!
