DS's birthday party menu--revised
So I need to figure out the menu for DS's birthday party. We are having about 40-50 adults (still waiting on RSVP's) I am thinking:
Apps:
Chips, pretzels, veggies and dip
swedish meatball app
cheese and crackers
Lunch:
6ft american hero w/potato and macaroni salad and coldslaw
6ft italian hero
tray of pasta
big green salad
bean salad
jerk chicken wings
kids:
order some pizza
Dessert:
birthday cake and homemade cookies, maybe cupcakes too
what do we think of this?
What other veggies would you do? Should I do a cold pasta salad instead of hot?

great idea..maybe a cold bean salad?
Also the heroscome with pasta and potato salad and coldslaw.
Maybe the rice AND pasta is too carb heavy? should I do one or other?

A big green salad. This way people can take the meat and cheese off the hero and throw it in a salad if they don't want the bread.

I'd add some grapes to the cheese and crackers. I might also change the wings to plain wings to appeal to more guests.

Forgot that we will have fruit salad...I agree with the wings but my SIL is Jamaican and likes to add some of her flavor to the mix

Gotcha :) Honestly, with the 2 sandwiches, macaroni and potato salads, cole slaw, salad, pasta, etc., there is plenty from which to choose.
