EASY Chicken (Pot) Pie Pie
If you ask most people what kind of pie they like they say, apple/cherry. Not my son. The only pie he will eat is chicken pie pie.
Cooked chicken (a pound?). I cut it into small/baby bite size pieces and boil it with garlic salt, onion powder and a few dashes of hot sauce. Use what you have/like.
1 small can of cream of celery soup - don't like it, can't find it, use cream of something....
2 pie crust sheets - the kind that you unfold. I even use the store brand (shhhhh)
Mixed veges - heated/defrosted. I usually throw it in w the chicken for 2-3 minutes.
Put bottom pie crust in pie dish. Mix chicken, veges, soup. Fill pie crust. Top with other pie crust, pinch sides.
Bake 375 until crust is golden, maybe 25 minutes (haven't made since spring).
It's so easy it's stupid!!!!

Ok....it was about a pound of chicken. Took about a half hour at 375 but I started it at 400. It enough for two adults, 2 children.
I guess you could put some canned potatoes in too.
Eta: sometimes I grate in a clove of garlic before baking..I like garlic though

Your welcome. Also, you can make the filling the night before and just reheat it (microwave) a little while the oven reheats,
The filling is also good over a baked potatoe

oooooooo I looooooooooooove pot pies.
I use cream of potato as the base........oh so good. and relatively easy, too! but I cheat and use the pre-made pie crusts..and frozen veggies
I use the regular size pie pan.

The pie crusts come two in a package -long rectangle, near the cookie/rolls you bake at home. Im not sure what size pie - normal pie size. I even made a deep dish once bc the regular pie dishes were being used (thanksgiving- made a turkey pot pie w leftovers)
Mix the veges/chicken until you get the ratio you like. I'd say maybe 2/3 box of frozen vege?

I saw them today at the supermarket! DH is so excited for me to make this. So thank you for posting the recipe.
Is your pan glass or non stick metal or the disposable metal kind? The reason I ask is because I think I read that dark coated pans cook food differently than other types. I have the round pans that you would use to make a 2 layer cake.

I use a glass pie pan. You might want to put it in a larger cookie sheet with foil on it, in case it drips. I poke a few holes on the top crust so steam can escape. Make sure you pinch the edges very well too. You can either use your fingers or a fork
Those pans should work too.
