DS came home from school and got sick... need opinions

DS is not one who gets sick often. He came home from school, said he wasn't feeling well and then threw up all over me. Over the past couple weeks a few kids from his class have been out sick due to vomiting. My question is that he is also complaining of mild head and neck pain. Is that anything to be concerned about? He has a low fever - 101.3. TIA.

Sometimes the throwing up can cause headaches and muscle tension in jaw and neck. DS had rather same with low grade fever and his ped said it was most likely from the throwing up and virus itself. Hope he feels better soon! It's going around :(

My DS has had the same complaints when he has the stomach virus. I wouldn't think too much of it. I hope he fees better soon! The stomach bug is the absolute worst.

Thank you both! This is only the 2nd time DS has had a stomach virus and he's 8. Wasn't sure if the complaints of head and neck pain were usual for this.

That stomach virus is going around our school like the plague...they have even named it the great virus of east Moriches 2013 lol
