central air costs
I know I have to get estimates, but has anyone recently had central air installed? Our house is 1600 square feet, not including basement, with bedrooms upstairs. It is a very old house so the heating system now isn't very great. Does anyone know what price range I am looking at? My husband mentioned ductless, but we are open to either. TIA

We are using Scarpelli Mechanical to put in our Central AC. We have a very similar size house to you and although he suggested ductless, he is able to put in a duct system. He seems extremely knowledgeable and I will let you know how it goes after he installs it.

Our house is getting Central air during our dormer... It is about a $16k add on. I'm not sure if the fact that we are getting it done during construction alters the price. Good luck!
