Salons
Help! I'm starting to turn gray! Does anybody know of a salon in the bellmore/Merrick/wantagh area that dyes hair but won't break the bank??

I go to Hair Effex in Belmore. I drive from n.babylon because i love my girl. My hair costs $80 for single process and cut.

Just wondering, have you ever tried coloring your own hair from home? I use Loreal Excellence . Since I do not have a lot of gray and I am a SAHM I really hate to spend a ton of money. I also get compliments because people can't believe I do it myself because it looks good. If you have coupon you can find it for as little as $5.00 a box ...just to try.

Thanks! I've never tried doing my own hair. This is my first time dying it. I figured go professional first and then I'll eventually go to doing it on my own.

Come to think of it, when I felt it was time to move to permanent color for grays I did have it professionally done the first time ...turns out it was a little too light for my taste so I played around with a few box ones from the drugstore.
