Breast/Armpit pain
Does anyone get armpit/breast pain in one breast around their period? I never had this issue until a few months ago. I have been to the doctor for an annual a few months ago, and she did a breast exam, and she noticed some thickening in that breast, but said it was consistent with my cycle (went shortly before period). I can't remember the term she used.
The pain comes a few days before, goes away a few days after. But, I have a short cycle, so I feel like it's just always bothering me, and I get maybe a week where it doesn't. I'm going to make another appointment, but just curious if anyone else has this issue. The concerning part to me that it's just one breast. I used to get normal breast tenderness in both, but haven't had that in a while.

Breast/Armpit pain
I just met with my breast surgeon for a different issue, but I mentioned that I had pain in only one breast and he said it's completely normal to only have it in one side. He also said more women usually have the pain in the left breast than the right. But definitely get it checked out too if you are concerned!

Re: Breast/Armpit pain
Yes, I have had that. There is breast tissue in there so it doesn't surprise me. That's why they try to pull all of that tissue into the machine when you get a mammo.

Breast/Armpit pain
Thanks ladies. I saw the doctor again, felt around, nothing out of the ordinary. It's just really annoying me. I've also developed this annoying pain in between my breasts (up a little higher) but more toward one side when I twist around, sneeze, or breathe really deeply. I had an x-ray for that today. Hoping it's nothing. Although the tech's "make sure you follow up with your doctor in a couple of days" comment makes me worried. I feel like I'm falling apart!

Re: Breast/Armpit pain
I don't think they would say that if it was anything really bad. They would alert your doctor right away.
I've had similar pain. My doctor said it was normal. Ask for a sono if you're worried.
