Stop asking me when I'm having a baby!!!
Went to see my DHs 95 year old grandma. She asked me 8 times when we are having a baby. She doesn't speak much english but the holding a baby sign is pretty obvious and also thats the translation I got from the family. She wants to know when and said when I come next time I should bring a baby. Sure....
I know she is very old but still made me upset. I held it in pretty well until the bathroom. Didn't even talk to DH about it bc I don't wanna loose it. Just frustrating bc we wil probably never have a baby to bring to her.
Uhhh bad day

I know the feeling! Last year i had a first birthday party for my puppy  and all i got was comments about how I'm losing it and i should have a baby.

I hated getting asked that. Even worse some ahole at work asked me when I was due....just before I was set to start my first Ivf!!! I teared up and in A semi nice way told her to get the f away from me.

You'd think after hearing that question more and more you'd get immune to it, but you don't. If anything I got more and more sensitive each time. My grandmother asks me every time I go see her. She doesn't know about our infertility issues and I know she only means well but it does make me feel awful when she says "I'd love to meet my great-grandchild before I die". I get so upset bc A) I don't ever want her to die lol B) If only it were that controllable for us. Hang in there

Thanks ladies. I knew you would understand. Usually I'm fine if someone asks it once, I just say I don't know. But getting asked so many times in a visit was hard to swallow. Uhhh.

I wish i could say it stops after you have a baby but they immed ask when the second one is. Sometimes I shoot back well this one wasn't so easy to get so we will see

yup... PLUS i get told "they fixed your problems so you should have no issue getting pregnant again right?" Yes, they just fixed my infertility.

The worst is when someone who already had IF themselves asks when you are having a baby (or another in my case). I don't understand how you can forget when you had IF and that maybe the person you are asking also has IF and does not prefer to talk about it. Just because they wound up with 2 or 3 children after having IF does NOT mean everyone with IF will have one (or in my case #2).

While I was pregnant I was asked if I'll be going back for more after, I'm like uhhhh I'd like to get through with this pregnancy which took years to get to! People just like to b nosy.
