More Andy Kaplan Questions
So, I know there are MANY Andy Kaplan lovers on this site; but I want to know what does he do thats any different from anyone else.
He would be my 4th Accupuncturist; so I'm slightly torn on giving this another shot.
I work and live in Suffolk so going to RC would be extremely out out of the way for me especially since it would be prime rush hour time; but I can be willing to try it.
How often does he usually want to see a patient for IF? I assume thats something I would have to work out with him; I'd prefer not more than 1x/week.
Also, does he put you on Chinese herbs and teas like the others did; I have done that; and obviously didn't do much for me anyway.
Thank you all for your input on this!

Re: More Andy Kaplan Questions
I go to him but it only takes me 25 minutes each way. I dont know that I would travel from suffolk. I know someone who has an acupuncturist she likes in Smithtown.
That said, he is really nice, easy going, and I enjoy my sessions. I went 1x a week initially but when we found out my insurance would cover I started going 2x a week until O. We have also been trying to make me O earlier and regulate my cycles.
No herbs, no drugs, he just says to drink a lot of water. I dont know how he differs from other acu, I havent looked at any others.
I dont know if there has been any fertility impact but it has significantly lessened my anxiety

More Andy Kaplan Questions
Before Andy, I was with another accupuncturist for over a year. I couldn't tell you what he does differently from her - some of the locations he aimed for were similar to the ones she used. I do think he is very knowledgeable - a lot more than my former accupuncturist. He told me that once a week sessions was more than enough. We upped it to twice a week while stimming. As PP advised, he doesn't do the Chinese herbal approach but is a firm believer in drinking a ton of water and red foods. He is open on Sunday's which I prefer, since during the week the traffic is disgusting.

Re: More Andy Kaplan Questions
He's the only acu I have been to so I can't compare him to others or call him the best but he has a very clean environment and a good sense of humor . No Chinese herbs or meds.

Re: More Andy Kaplan Questions
I used one acu before Andy (uh just one appt and hated it). Andy is awesome and no he does not use herbs, etc.
For what it's worth, I got pregnant 3/4 of my transfers while using him.

I have nothing to compare him to but he is amazing. Knowledgable, great personality and works with what's going on. Right now I'm trying to lower my fsh level. I go twice a week- no insurance but to me it's worth it right now.
