Any weight loss/diet tips?
So, I gained just under 10 pounds during/after my IVF cycle. I think it was a combination of the meds and taking a break from my normal workout routine during the cycle.
I've been back to my workout routine and counting calories for about a month now and I've GAINED 2 more pounds!
Have any of you found any particular diet or any other tricks to help lose the hormone-induced weight gain?
I wouldn't be surprised if my thyroid is a little out of whack. I'm getting bloodwork done next week to check that, but in the meantime I'm so frustrated that nothing fits and I feel like a blob. A giant, hormonal acne covered blob.

Try cherries ;)
I got nothing besides that. Each cycle I went up about 5lbs and never got it off before the last cycle. Are you going back to yoga?

Re: Any weight loss/diet tips?
Same thing happened to me. Diet & exercise for 6 weeks straight - I gained 6 lbs.
So I went back to regular eating for a cpl weeks. Then started focus t 25 and that is working. Slowly, but working. I feel like 4 months off meds and I'm finally starting to get my old body back.

Re: Any weight loss/diet tips?
Honestly soooo much of the weight is drug induced. I cycled back to back for years when I finally took a 9 month long break for surrogacy and I lost 10lbs by not doing anything! I looked the best I looked since before I started my journey. Before I started my successful IVF cycle though. I wanted something else to focus on so I did couch to 5k and set fitness goals at the gym. I really enjoyed that, but stooped once I started stims.

Cherries are always the answer! Lol
I have only been going to yoga sporadically. I've been focusing more on cardio and weight training.
Just once I wish my body would cooperate.

Pilates really worked for me during my break of 6 months between live IVF and FET. I was already down 8lbs 6-8 weeks into the working out. Oh and cutting out a lot of gluten. By summertime last yr I looked my best in yrs.
ETA: I never did any weight training or cardio (other than making sure to walk everywhere). I never found that to be a good way for me to tone up and shed extra lbs. Pilates for me works best as it concentrates on all the small muscles I never engage on daily basis.

YES!!! I was told that I have a cute pregnant belly. But for the fact that they probably don't allow IVF in prison, I might have caused the person seriously bodily injury.

Did you take a class somewhere or do it on your own? If it was a class, may I ask where it was?

I have an instructor. she does very small classes, so usually its only me and her. sometimes there is another person there too. I am in New Rochelle tho. She teaches on the upper east side or New Rochelle, if that works for u let me know. She certified pretty much in anything and everything (including per natal Pilates and Yoga) 20 classes are $760 (the only thing I splurge on no matter what)

Thanks, but unfortunately those locations don't work for me. :(

That's a great idea, especially since the weather is finally getting to be nice!

Any weight loss/diet tips?
During my 3 month break before this IVF I did spin twice a week, lifted weights 1-2 days, and general cardio another day or 2. I love spin! I also like to run outside during the spring/summer. A few years ago I did the Couch to 5K program and really liked it.
For calorie counting I use myfitnesspal.com. You can log your food and exercise.

Re: Any weight loss/diet tips?
I've also gaind weight due to back to back IVF cycles and one high dose stimmed half cycle. It's annoying. I'm on a cleanse now since I'm on a forced break until May. I've got my energy back and lost 5 pounds so far. I've been undecided about what workout I want to do- yoga PILATES joing the gym again. On the fence. Now nice weather is coming ill bike and walk the boardwalk. You're not alone. I know I snack once and awhile etc but nothing crazy to mAke me gain this much - it's definitely meds

Any weight loss/diet tips?
For me, I always made sure to continue light exercise while stimming - walking for about 45-60 minutes a day and it helped to regulate my weight. Once stimming was done, I went back to my regular exercise routine of running which is a lifesaver physically and mentally.

Any weight loss/diet tips?
It's amazing the weight gain during infertility treatments. During my earlier IVF cycles I was like a balloon. In between my fresh and frozen break I ate Smart Ones then once I started my frozen cycle I just tried to eat low calorie hot food( soups etc it was January 2013). I barely gained weight that cycle and that is the cycle that resulted in DD.
