Siding question

So we need to pick out siding for our house.

DH really likes a certain color and style and I do too, however, it's the same exact as our neighbor a few houses away facing us.

They have a slightly different style house but I kind of feel it's wrong to get the exact same thing.

I know this is a total LIF problem but what say you?

I honestly think it's fine and wouldn't think twice about it. Siding is a big investment and has a huge impact on your curb appeal. I would get what you like most and really want!

Plus, who's it say your neighbors won't change it down the road or sell the house to someone who will change it?

Three of my neighbors houses that are right next to each other all did the same color siding at the same time (they all had damage from Sandy). Honestly, it doesn't look weird at all. Each has done different landscaping & pavers so it doesn't really stand out. I do think every time I pass them that they must have gotten a great deal on price because they all used the same company, lol!

Several homes in my neighborhood have beige siding with a brown roof. All are slightly different but same color combo. Doesn't look strange at all.

And Christine especially. I didn't even think about the resale thing.

Not that we are planning to sell anytime soon, but you never know what life throws you.

I will tell him to get what he wants then.
