Poison Ivy removal, will town handle it?
I noticed we have a bunch of poison ivy along our back fence that seems to be coming through from our neighbors yard. We have kids and are planning on having a bday party in our yard in a month or two and I'm concerned about the kids coming in contact with it. Someone told me today that I should call the town and they will remove it....has anyone heard of this? I plan on telling the neighbor since it's coming from her yard, but she's not quick to handle things or care about them so I'm trying to figure out what to do to get rid of it!

If it's on YOUR property, I do NOT see the town taking care of it. I would def tell the neighbor, and I would see about splitting the cost of having a landscaper come to remove it.

Re: Poison Ivy removal, will town handle it?
Ugh, I knew it sounded too good to be true! I really don't want to split any costs with her because she always seems to take advantage of situations like this. She doesn't care for her property and now it's our responsibility?! Last year she had her boyfriend cut a tree down and it fell into our yard and crushed 4 sections of fence that we had JUST put up two weeks prior and guess who ended up taking care of it......

If you want it gone it's going to be your responsibility.

No, pay someone to come remove it or steer clear
