Question about NT Scan Blood Results
My DR called and everything looks great with my NT Scan, but he said something that I didn't write down correctly because someone was hovering in my office and now I can't figure out what is was....
He said the blood work (I think) tests for "FREE PAP A?" something with hypertension - what is this? I am sure I spelled it wrong because google is not recognizing this lol
Thank you in advance!

Re: Question about NT Scan Blood Results
I believe you want a high PAPP and low HCG on the bloodwork to give you a good result.

Re: Question about NT Scan Blood Results
Pulled this from Baby Center:
Combining an NT scan with a blood test gives a more accurate result. The blood test measures the levels of the hormone free beta-hCG and the protein PAPP-A. Babies with Down's syndrome tend to have high levels of hCG and low levels of PAPP-A.
