North Shore Manhasset - Quick Question
Random question, but for those that have given birth at North Shore Manhasset - did you 1) have cell service, 2) have WIFI service?
Asking since DH will be updating family, and want to see if it will be possible or if he'll have to go outside to do so.

North Shore Manhasset - Quick Question
I've been there for other departments, and if I remember correctly, I had both.
I would think that since the LIJ Katz building has both (I was just there a few weeks ago), that the NS Katz building would as well.

North Shore Manhasset - Quick Question
My sister delivered at NS and had spotty service. I had to call her on her room phone. It was also difficult for her to send/receive texts.

North Shore Manhasset - Quick Question
Crazy how different areas have different service levels! It's such a large campus, I really shouldn't be surprised.

Is the wifi pretty good? Or spotty? Figured we can give updates via wifi.

We didn't use it, but the L and D nurse said it was reliable. She also encouraged us to use the room phone instead of stepping outside to try and find service. She said we could make local calls, just to dial "9" first.
ETA: I've used the wifi in the room where we got the growth scans/anatomy scans, and it worked fine there.

Good to know - thank you! Maybe different areas are more spotty than others, but this is helpful.

North Shore Manhasset - Quick Question
I was in MFM yesterday which is on the same floor as labor and delivery. My DH said they have WIFI. When I tried to send text messages they didn't go through but where I was there were no windows.

There were no windows in the L and D room I was in, either. Your best bet is to give your list to someone, have DH call that person from room, and then have that person do the phone tree. After our experience last week that's our new plan lol.

North Shore Manhasset - Quick Question
I was on one side of the 3rd floor for 5 days once.... Nada. Then, 2 days later, I was on the other side of the 3rd floor and had call service on my cell phone, no texting. Up on the 5th floor, nothing. Wifi, yes everywhere!
