I pick out my outfit and iron the night before. Lunch/snacks/bottles are prepared the night before as well. I also pin curl my hair at night so all I have to do is take the pins out in the morning and it looks like I've spent 30 min curling my hair when in reality it only take 1-2 minutes.

4:15/4:30 - wake up, nurse DS (2 months old)

4:45 - shower

4:55- DH brings DS in the shower with me so I can bathe him.

5:00 - Dry DS off/dress him/ lay him down to sleep

5:20 - I get myself dressed

5:30 - Put on makeup

5:40/5:45 - take DS bottles out the fridge/take my lunch out the fridge.

5:50 - Gather bags, do a final check of everything.

6:00 - Out the door

6:30 - Get to my aunts house. Nurse DS 1 more time.

7:00 - leave DS with my aunt

7:30 - Get to work. (whew!)

You all are so organized & disciplined with your routines! I am a mess in the morning. Depending on whether I showered the night before or not will determine how many times I hit snooze (usually my first alarm goes off at 5:50)... I pretty much force myself to get my butt out of bed by 6:20 at the latest (because I don't prepare anything the night before-- I always say I will but never do).

I stand in front of my closet forever trying to decide what to wear. At the same time, the baby is usually waking up so I'm making a bottle for him, getting him from his room, changing his diaper & clothes, making sure everything is ready for him for the day, etc. Brush my teeth, wash face, makeup (I don't do extensive makeup-- a little eyeliner/eyeshadow, blush & lip color & that's it-- 2 minutes). Throw my hair up or back with a clip or leave it down, whatever... if it's wet I put it up in a bun or large clip usually. I try to make myself something for breakfast & coffee. I'm also usually running around like a crazy person trying to pack my bag for the day & find what I did with my watch, cellphone, sunglasses, or whatever else I misplaced.

We need to be out the door by 7:15 at the very latest so DH has enough time to drop me off at the train before driving to work, and so I can definitely get to work before 8:30 (I can't be late). The mornings are always completely rushed & crazy because I take forever to do everything.

My hours are 7-330, so my routine usually goes like this...

5:05- wake up & feed the kitties

5:10- shower and brush my teeth (I wash my hair every other night)

5:25- decide on my outfit

5:30-5:45- watch the news/go on the iPad/make coffee

5:50- blow dry/straighten my hair and do my makeup

6:10- get dressed

6:15-6:20ish- head out the door for work.


If I'm tired or feeling lazy, I will hit snooze for 30 min or so, hop in the shower and just throw it up in a messy bun, or put in some product and let air dry (my hair is very curly when wet).

My makeup is usually just foundation/ bb cream, eye liner, mascara and tinted lip gloss. If we have clients coming, I bring my makeup bag with me and do it in the bathroom at work. Because I come in so early, clients usually won't come for a few hours, so I freshen up my face right before.

6am - wake up, shower.

6:15am - wash face, floss, brush teeth, moisturize, put make up on, dry hair with blow dryer and then flat iron.

6:45am - put on clothes (always pick out the night before) and put on whatever jewelry I'm wearing that day, then shoes.

7am - DS wakes up, get him dressed, feed him breakfast.

7:30am Grab his daycare bag (always pack the night before) and out the door.

Starbucks

Drop him at daycare (8am)

9am - work

6:10 - Wake up DS and change him

can not believe how early you ladies get up each day

I'm up at 715, take a quick shower. My hair has been straightened so don't need to do anything. I use all my magic potions plus SPF lotion and let it sit. Eat something quick like banana/ oatmeal. get dressed, slap on the BB cream, some blush, and concealer when I remember, mascara. done by 8 AM.


before I had kids, I would wake at 7:50 and leave by 8:15 not possible anymore, I would scare people.
