Working Moms - what is your routine in the morning?

Me:

6:40 I wake-up & get myself ready
7:20 kids up; feed them, dress them
8:00 out the door
8:30 at work (on a good day )

7:45 give DS bottle/get him ready
8:15 out the door
8:30 DS is dropped off at sitter
I'm usually at work by 8:50

We have this down to a science..for now.

5:30-I get up get dressed and do all that I need to do for me.. brush hair, teeth etc etc....I shower the night before, saves SOOOO much time.

5:45- Get DS up and feed him while Dh gets dd up and gets her ready.

5:50 -Get DS dressed and put him in exasaucer so i can finsih what i need to do while Dh gets DD coat and shoes on.
At the same time I am packing my lunch and doing odds and ends.

6:00- Take DD down to the car while Dh puts shoes and coat on DS .

6:05-6:10- We are off....

6am - I wake up, shower, get ready, etc.

DS wakes anytime b/w 6am and 7am but usually closer to 7am...if he wakes before I am ready then he typically occupies himself with either TV, toys or just plain old running around. DH is also home so I have his help as well.

7am - get him dressed

7:15am - downstairs, pack bags (food prepared night before), give DS milk and light breakfast that he eats while I get ready and get everything in the car

7:40 am - leave the house and head to daycare

8am - leave daycare

8:30am - start work (also on a good day....i've been getting there at 8:45am lately)

6:20-6:30 DS gets up and wakes us all up. I get him dressed first and DS tries to go back to sleep.
6:40 Get DS his milk feed the animals.
6:50 Get myself ready (I have everything ready and I'm showered the night before).
7:00 Out the door
7:10 Drop DS at daycare if I'm taking that morning and to work by 7:45-8.
7:30 At work if not dropping off.

DS is 24 months now and has breakfast at daycare at 8:30 ish.

6:50 - wake up, shower, get ready, let the dog out, feed the dog

7:30 - wake miki (she is usually awake by now) get her ready

7:40 - leave for the day

DS usually drinks some juice or has some dry cereal and watches TV as I make the beds...

Im at work @ 6:20am
I make breakfast here, and DS eats breakfast with me at my desk, starts morning care @ 7am

ETA- I do everything I possibly can the night before (even lay clothing out)

6:00 am -- DH & I both get up (sometimes a little earlier if we didn't get stuff ready the night before)
We both shower & get ready for work. DD wakes up somewhere around 6:15 or 6:30, so we switch off playing with her while the other gets ready.
DH & DD leave at 7am (he drops her off at MIL's, where she eats breakfast)
I leave by 7:20, at work by 8:00am

I keep saying I'll start getting up at 5:15 to go on the treadmill...hasn't happened yet

5:50am Get up/shower/dressed
6:15 DD wakes up. She eats some cheerios while I eat cereal
6:45 DD gets a cup of milk
7:20 out the door

6:20 - I wake up, get coffee going, get ready
6:45 - Change Athan's diaper, get him dressed (he is still asleep usually threw all this)
6:55 - out the door
7:15 - arrive at my mom's, drop off Athan
7:45 (or 8 depending on traffic) - at the office.

It varies because I can be in anytime between 7:30-9:30am.

Most days I aim to be at work around 8am. That means I wake up at 6am. Alex wakes up the SECOND I do - freaky weird, I tell ya. She hangs out in the bathroom while I shower and get ready, and we brush our teeth together, floss together, and put on makeup together

When I get dressed, she goes to her room and picks out her clothes for the day and gets dressed. Then we go to the kitchen, I make breakfast for us and we chill out for about 30 minutes eating and talking.

Then I run out the door at about 7:20am, to walk to the train. I usually catch the 7:40 and I'm in work by 8am.

my routine isn't too bad in the morning:

6AM-wake-up shower, change, get myself ready
620-630AM-DS wakes up-change him quickly and hand him over to DH so he can feed him
645AM-out the door to the LIRR

now my evening routines amaze me.
645PM-get home
7PM-feed DS cereal
730PM-bath
8-830PM-bottle/story/bed

somehow in less then 2 hours I get DS all taken care of, feed our dog and jam something to eat. If DH is home, he cooks dinner.

Ours isn't too bad b/c DH is home with DS in the daytime, but here goes:

7:30am-Get up (sometimes earlier if I need to do laundry) and hop in the shower
7:50-8:00am-I go get Christopher (he wakes up while I am in the shower) and dress him for the day
8:00-8:30am-Make DH and DS' food for the day and get myself ready and out the door.

It was pretty much the same when DS was in daycare, and will be the same when he starts school in the fall. I love Secret Agent Oso b/c he wants to be in the livingroom by 8 to watch it

Mon-Wed I drive to work by mysef

5:45am: I wake up, let the dog out, jump in the shower, let the dog back in and feed her and get myself ready

6:20am: leave for work at work by 7am

Thurs and Fri I commute in with DH

6:15am: I wake up, let the dog out, take a shower, let the dog back in, feed her, let her out again, get ready

7:15am:wake Kaydyn and DH up, get Kaydyn ready

7:30am: We are out the door

8:15am: drop of Kaydyn at ILs

9:00am: arrive at work

6:00 AM-DH and I get up. I take a shower, dry my hair and do makeup while DH goes downstairs to read paper, make his coffee and lunch and my tea and he reads the sports page.

6:30 AM-We switch. I go downstairs, have breakfast, drink my tea, catch the news and finish my hair (why I bother, I don't know).

6:30-7:00-DD wakes up sometime in there. I get her dressed, bring her downstairs, do her hair, make her 1st breakfast (she has another one at day care), clean up, etc. Finish my hair.

7:15-7:30 AM-we are all out the door.


I follow the same routine when DH is traveling.

Mine is really easy.

6:45 - I wake and shower, get ready. DS either chills in his crib, or is still sleeping.

7:40 - get DS out of the crib, into the car seat.

7:45 - leave for Grammy's

8:00 - arrive at Grammy's - she has everything she needs - formula, clothes, toys, bottles, diapers, wipes, etc. On Mondays I leave her clothes for the week, but I don't even need to pack a diaper bag since she is well stocked!

8:30 - start *work* - meaning my job!

7:00 breakfast for Ds
7:30 shower - if its a daycare day, DH takes DS, if it is not, DS comes in the bathroom with me while I shower
8:00 get DS dressed, I get ready and DS usually watches Blues Clues
8:30 sitter arrives if its a non daycare day and I leave for work

DS is usually awake at 7am but he plays in his crib until our nanny gets there at 7:30am, she gets him, changes him and feeds him while i finish getting ready.

out the door at 7:45am.

6:45- Wake up and take a shower

Get out of shower and wake up DH.

Put my make up on and get dressed.

Wake up DD, get her dressed

DH takes DD downstairs and feeds her breakfast while I blow dry my hair

Out the door by 8:10

5:30 - DD wakes me up...I go get her, give her a bottle and we go back to bed together to sleep a little more.

5:45 - DH gets up, showers, dresses and gets DD's breakfast ready.

6:15 - DD and I get up, I get her dressed and ready and hand her off to DH to feed her breakfast.

6:30 - I shower and get dressed.

7:00 - DD comes to visit me in the bathroom and follows me around the bedroom as I figure out what to wear.

7:30 - I sit down in front of the computer/pay bills/go through the previous day's mail, etc. while DD plays

7:45-8:00 - I bring DD to day care and then get on the train to go to work.

7:00 - wake up. I'm usually too exhausted the night before to prepare bottles so I do that when I wake up.

7:30ish - feed DS.

8:00ish - hand DS to DH so he can change DS and I can get ready.

8:30ish - leave to drop DS off at daycare and then head to work.

9:00/9:15 - arrive at work.

6:30-6:45am - Wake up, Shower, brush teeth, do my hair

7am - Dress both boys with clothes and shoes

7:15am - Dress myself

7:30am - Help the boys brush their teeth

7:40am - Take both kids downstairs, let the dog out, start breakfast

7:45am - Give the kids breakfast, pack mine and DH lunch, make coffee

8-8:15am - Yell at DH to hurry up

8:20am - Let the dog in, put food out for him

8:30am - Take the kids to the car

8:35am - Call DH from the car to tell him to hurry up again

8:45am - Drop Jayden off at babysitter or ILs

9:10am - Drop Nate off at daycare

9:30am - DH drops me off at work

**I could totally cut 30-45 mins out of my routine, if I didn't have to wait for DH. He's only responsible for getting himself ready and takes forever.
