Pain

Does anyone else get sharp pains in their upper ribs? It doesn't happen often, but when it does man does it hurt! It feels like I'm getting stabbed with something sharp about an inch or two under my bra line. It happened the other day when I went to lay down and then again this morning when I got up from sitting. Any thoughts?

Re: Pain

I'm 34 weeks and just starting to get this too. It only lasts for a couple of seconds. I have a doctors appt today so was going to ask what it is. Will let you know!

Re: Pain

I'm 38 weeks and I've had this a few times in the last few weeks. It always goes away so I keep forgetting to ask the doctor.

Yup, I asked my doc about it, especially because I was getting some serious soreness up in that area. She told me to stop wearing underwire bras and that seems to help a lot. I was also told by a good friend that underwire can cause problems if you are breast feeding (clogs and such).

I thought this was interesting, so I looked it up. Lol. Everything I found said that there's no proof of an underwire bra causing clogged ducts, but that a poorly fitted bra could do that. But it's definitely something to think about. Honestly, I have big boobs, and haven't worn a bra without an underwire since I was probably 14; I don't find other bras comfortable. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't wear one lol.

You are right there with me (no non underwire since about 12), I'm a 36/38 HHH pre pregnancy (my wedding corset was a 34 HHH), but I found a really comfy non-underwire bra at Sears believe it or not, it's really simple, it's got a sports bra look, pretty supportive. Pretty decent lift, and no pain!
