I was 35 and got the amnio and that was it.
No need for other tests if you are doing the amnio.
I am very glad I did...gave me 100% piece of mind.
At how many weeks did you get it done?
I waa just over 17 weeks.
it was so much easier and less painful than I anticipated.

Thank you!! Do they do the amino at the OB/GYN office or is it an outpatient thing?
I went to Madonna in Bayshore.
They usually do it at a perinatal place
The doctor who did mine there was amazing. Really nice, funny, put me SOOO at ease.

I'm 34...not sure if that puts me in the "old" category lol i did whatever the doctor told me to do. basically the standard tests and i did the panorama test for abnormalities and tells the sex of the baby.

Had an amnio with my son five years ago. Going to do the same this time. My 12 week bloodwork came back good/low percentages, but nothing is as definitive as the amnio, and I don't think I would be comfortable not having the same knowledge this time around as I did with my son.

Q for
Maternity 21 test. No amino since I had a miscarriage in the past and genetic counselor was happy with the Maternity 21 test. No cvs test either.
