We are finding out what we are having on Saturday at a gender sono. My friend and I were hanging out and goofing around with some old wives tales. So far I have done the Chinese calendar, peeing on baking soda, and checked the back of the neck hair line of my two kids. Any other things to try. Like I said strictly for fun, I am aware these things are bs lol.

I had made a chart for my gender reveal-

Signs baby was a girl:
Heartrate is over 140bpm
Age of mother & month of conception according to Chinese gender chart
Morning Sickness
Mother prefers to sleep on her right side
Feet are not cold
Linea Nigra ends at belly button

Signs baby was a boy:
Headaches
Mother’s age is an even # and Year of conception is an odd # according to Mayan Gender predictor
No acne or breakouts
Ring on a string swung like a pendulum

We had a girl which is what most of the old wives tales leaned towards.

Needle and thread method
What to do:

Thread a sewing needle and knot it.
(so the needle hangs about 6-10 inches from the knot).
Hold your left hand out, palm down.
Hold the knot in your right hand with the forefinger and thumb only.
Holding your left hand still, swing the needle so the needle hits the inside curve of your thumb 
(where the thumb meets the hand) three times.
Then turn your left hand over and move the right hand over the left, holding the needle just an inch or so above the palm of the left hand.
Hold both hands still and let the needle do the work.
The needle will begin to move:

Circles = girls
Lines = boys
Turn off any fans and make sure circulating air is not affecting the reading.


It's silly but it was correct for me both times and so was the Chinese calendar, but the authentic one.

I did the Chinese Gender Chart, the heartbeat, morning sickness, cravings, and a few others. All of them but one pointed to a girl, but I'm having a boy lol.

We knew it was a boy because of:

Heartrate under 150
The ring on the string- i think it goes side to side? can't remember.
no "loss of looks"
growing only in the front


Also, everyone randomly bought little "gender neutral" clothes... that were either blue or boyish in my opinion.

i just pulled up chinese gender charts and one said this baby is a girl and one said boy!

I also heard that if you're having a girl you tend to crave more fruits and sweets and if you're having a boy you tend to crave more meats (protein) and cheeses and salty foods.

There's also that directional thing with the 12 week sono right? You're supposed to see the ovaries or the testes or something- pointing up girl, pointing down boy?? Or am I making that up?

Chinese Calendar says boy, Mayan predictor says girl.

I've had two different people do the ring test and gotten two different results.

My friends all claim boy because I am a sweets junkie and have had little to no sweet tooth, except that I was craving raspberry filling one day (like you get in a cake, jelly donut or linzertart). But for the most part I have had no interest in sweets and been more into salty (for the nausea). But then I have been craving fruit like crazy.

My right boob is always bigger (boy)
I've always slept on my right side (girl)
I am breaking out more then normal (girl), but then normal for me is once a month during my period.
I've had headaches, but I get them from my ear issues. (boy)

So I really have no idea.

Hoping to find out at my 16 week sono this week.
