Prep ahead appetizers?

I am fine to bake that day .....but I'd like to have things assembled/prepped and just ready to stick in the oven

DH's side is coming the Friday after Christmas and I have to work all day and won't be home until 6:00

He's going to handle the antipasto, and I'm going to get a crudete platter -
What can I do that can be prepped ahead of time?

Re: Prep ahead appetizers?

Dips of all kinds are always great for make ahead- in fact most taste better after sitting in the fridge overnight anyway.

Even hot dips you can prep the night before and then just pop in the oven

Definitely some dips like pps mentioned. I love this hot caramelized onion dip. You can put it all together and then bake when you're ready. Also this feta dip is sooo good and festive looking for the holidays. I cut the recipe in half and it's still a ton. Put it in the fridge over night and then turn onto a platter to serve. Shrimp cocktail is probably the easiest thing you can do. Maybe those cocktail meatballs in the crockpot or you could do a buffalo chicken meatball.

Dip. I love the Knorr's Spinach Dip and that tastes way better if it is in the fridge for 24 hours+!! I am sure many other dips would be the same.

Also stuffed mushrooms, cheese platter, mini-meatballs with a dipping sauce are other good options.
